Extension of Autonomous status to Loyola Academy Degree and PG College is given from 2008-09 to 2013-14 by University Grants Commission.

The Osmania University has accorded approval Autonomous status to Loyola Academy Degree and PG College for all PG Courses.

We have started B.Com. Computers & M.Sc. Analytical Chemistry from the Academic Year 2010-11. BBA Course started from the Academic Year 2011-12.

International Seminar was held in our college on "Food Safety & Risk Analysis", 6 - 9 of July, 2011.

NAAC Peer Team will be visiting our college 28, 29 & 30th of July, 2011 for Re-Accreditation.

Rules of Promotion to Various Semesters

I Year - I Semester Admission
I Year - II Semeste

a)  Regular course of study of I Year - Semester I

II Year I  Semester

a)  Regular Course of Study of I Year - Semester II
b) The number of backlogs, if any, of I Year shall not exceed 50% of the papers prescribed for the I Year

II Year II Semester a)         Regular Course of Study of II Year Semester I.
III Year I Semester

a) Pass in I Year - Semesters I & II
b) Regular Course of Study of II Year Semester II.
c) The number of backlogs, if any, of II Year shall not exceed 50% of the papers prescribed for II Year.

III Year - II Semester a)         Regular Course of Study of III Year Semester I.
N.B:  Where the total number of subjects is odd (5 Subjects) the student is given the advantage (3 Backlogs)

Grading

Grading is done in three categories: pass Class, II Class & I Class.  If a student fails in any of the papers in the main exam and clears the dues later in a supplementary exam, the grading is termed ‘‘passed''.  The grading is done on the following lines:

<    60% and above    :    I Class
<    50% to 59.99%    :    II Class
<    40% to 49.99%    :    Pass Class
