Minimum Disclosure Norms
The Board of Studies

In each department, all members of the department, along with a nominee of the university will lay down regulations, procedures and syllabus for various courses and recommend suitable persons to be appointed to the Board of Studies and the Board of Examiners.

The Controller of Examination I Examination Cell °incharge: The Controller is appointed by Fr. Principal. (S)he looks after all matters connected with the examinations. (S)he is responsible for the conduct of the examinations, evaluation of answer scripts and publication of results as approved by the awards committee.
There are Non-statutory Committees to execute and monitor various functions.

The committee ensures smooth conduct of all examinations under the autonomous set-up.

Awards Committee

The Awards Committee consists of the Principal and the Chairpersons, Board of Studies. It will approve the results before pUblication.

Appeals and Grievance Committee

There will be an Appeal Committee consisting of the Principal as Chairperson and Chairperson of the concerned department and Mr. Raj Gopal as Coordinator along with Ms. Jacintha Vincent and Mrs. Jyothi Mary Rego as members.

In case, the appeal is concerned with the subject of the Chairperson of the department, the professor next in seniority will take his place.

Students Welfare & Extra Curricular Committee:

The Committee will have a coordinator and members nominated by the Principal. It will coordinate all activities related to students such as those of the associations and their welfare.

Library Committee

The Committee consists of the Library Warden, Librarian and members of the staff nominated by the Principal. It advises the Principal on the purchase of books and maintenance and on the general policy of the functioning of the Library.

Planning & Evaluation Committee

The Principal is the Chairperson of the committee. The other members are: some of the senior lecturers of the college, two nominees of the University and an outside expert.

The committee looks after the material planning of the college and evaluates the progress.

Finance Committee

The Principal presides over this committee and other members are: the bursar of the college, the senior lecturer in commerce and the nominee of the University. The Finance committee prepares the budget and presents it to the Governing BQdy for its approval.

AICUF (All India Catholic University Federation)

Is a growing student movement which focuses on a learning, committing and soiling their hands in the company of the struggling masses. It continues to sensitize the students for ajust world. Loyola Academy AICUF unit believes in making students into leaders, who are not only self-conscious, but also society-conscious and who aim for a change in society for a better tomorrow.
PLANET (Project of Loyola Academy for Neighbourhood, Extension, Transformation)

The vision of Loyola Academy is geared towards form ing men and women for others. It exposes all students to social service in order to transform themselves to serve the people better. It takes up development projects to enable the poor to become self-reliant. All the first year degree and PG students will compulsorly go through this project.

Academic Information:

The academic year consists of two semesters. At the undergraduate level, the curriculum is spread over three years. The duration of a semester is approximately 16-18 weeks of six working days per week.
