Extension of Autonomous status to Loyola Academy Degree and PG College is given from 2008-09 to 2013-14 by University Grants Commission.

The Osmania University has accorded approval Autonomous status to Loyola Academy Degree and PG College for all PG Courses.

We have started B.Com. Computers & M.Sc. Analytical Chemistry from the Academic Year 2010-11. BBA Course started from the Academic Year 2011-12.

International Seminar was held in our college on "Food Safety & Risk Analysis", 6 - 9 of July, 2011.

NAAC Peer Team will be visiting our college 28, 29 & 30th of July, 2011 for Re-Accreditation.

THE EXISTING LIBRARY BUILDING WAS INAUGURATED ON 25TH January, 2002. The total area of the Library is 1234 Sq. Yrds. The maximum seating capacity is 220.

Library Organisation
The Library books are classified according to Decimal Classification Scheme. The Library was computerized by using bar code technology. O.P.A.C. (On – line Public Access Catalogue) facility is also available. There is a reference section in the hall to the left and a Periodical section in the hall to the right. The lending section, librarian section and Post–Graduate section are on the ground floor. The first floor has the Under – Graduate collection with class Nos. 001 to 590 and M.Sc. Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics sections. In the cellar, under – graduate books with class Nos. 600 to 900, projects done by students and BOOK BANK, CPE, M.Sc., (BT) books are available. M.B.A. Library and Under-Graduate Commerce Library are being maintained at the P.G. Block.
