Extension of Autonomous status to Loyola Academy Degree and PG College is given from 2008-09 to 2013-14 by University Grants Commission.

The Osmania University has accorded approval Autonomous status to Loyola Academy Degree and PG College for all PG Courses.

We have started B.Com. Computers & M.Sc. Analytical Chemistry from the Academic Year 2010-11. BBA Course started from the Academic Year 2011-12.

International Seminar was held in our college on "Food Safety & Risk Analysis", 6 - 9 of July, 2011.

NAAC Peer Team will be visiting our college 28, 29 & 30th of July, 2011 for Re-Accreditation.

Eligibility Criteria for the Semester and Examinations


Rules of Promotion
A candidate shall be deemed to have fully passed the examination of a semester, if he/she secures not less than the minimum marks as herein after prescribed.


Detaining A Student from CIA & SEE

CIA
1) A student becomes eligible to appear for the Semester End Examinations only if he / she has secured the
MINIMUM ATTENDANCE OF 75%. If he / she fails to get the minimum attendance, he / she has to repeat that Semester.
2) A student can appear for the Semester End Examinations only if he / she has obtained a minimum of 40% in the Continuouss Internal Assessment (CIA).

SEE
1) Passing the first year subjects (Theory and Practicals) is a must before going to the Third Year.
2) The number of backlogs, if any, in any Semester shall not exceed 50% of the papers prescribed for that Semester.

Eligibility to appear for the Semester End Examinations (SEE)

Continuous Internal Assessment  (CIA)

1. A student becomes eligible to appear for the semester end examinations only if he / she has secured the minimum attendance of 75% if he /she fails to get the minimum attendance, he/she has to repeat that semester.
2. A student can appear for the semester-end examinations only if he / she has obtained a minimum of 40% in the continuous internal assessment(CIA).
There are organized weekly tests, mid-semester, Pre-final theory and practicals, assignments, viva and attendance under the CIA system in the college.

The first component of the CIA
includes weekly tests, which are conducted for one hour on every
Wednesday during the first hour. Mid-Semester and pre-final theory &practicals are conducted for three hours.

The second component of the CIA includes written assignment, viva and regularity in attendance.
