Extension of Autonomous status to Loyola Academy Degree and PG College is given from 2008-09 to 2013-14 by University Grants Commission.

The Osmania University has accorded approval Autonomous status to Loyola Academy Degree and PG College for all PG Courses.

We have started B.Com. Computers & M.Sc. Analytical Chemistry from the Academic Year 2010-11. BBA Course started from the Academic Year 2011-12.

International Seminar was held in our college on "Food Safety & Risk Analysis", 6 - 9 of July, 2011.

NAAC Peer Team will be visiting our college 28, 29 & 30th of July, 2011 for Re-Accreditation.

Genesis

It is the first course started in Loyola Academy. It is a three- year degree course which was started in 1978. This course is affiliated to Osmania University and it was brought under grant-in-aid in 1990.

Mission

It is a vocational course at undergraduate level with unique features. This course heralds the entry of a new generation of professionalism in the realm of technical education.The department aims at the bright future of every student by making him/her self-sufficient to face the competitive world and to produce manpower with skills required in chemical process industry.

Special features of the course

Live Project Work in various chemical industries for one month during summer vacation after completion of second year second semester .This facilitates the students to gain good practical experience.

Industrial Visits during the course to have direct exposure of the various chemical manufacturing processes. This facilitates students to understand various unit operations and unit processes in the chemical industry.

Scope of getting jobs in both IT & Chemical Industries. The syllabus includes five papers of Computer Science to meet the demands of IT companies. This provides job opportunities for students in the field of Computer Science besides the chemical industry.

Conducting Departmental Meetings like Board of
Studies every year and interaction with experts from academic line(College of Technology, Osmania University), research labs(I.I.C.T) & Industries. We upgrade the syllabus and other required things from time to time according to the need of the society.
