Extension of Autonomous status to Loyola Academy Degree and PG College is given from 2008-09 to 2013-14 by University Grants Commission.

The Osmania University has accorded approval Autonomous status to Loyola Academy Degree and PG College for all PG Courses.

We have started B.Com. Computers & M.Sc. Analytical Chemistry from the Academic Year 2010-11. BBA Course started from the Academic Year 2011-12.

International Seminar was held in our college on "Food Safety & Risk Analysis", 6 - 9 of July, 2011.

NAAC Peer Team will be visiting our college 28, 29 & 30th of July, 2011 for Re-Accreditation.

Manned by a highly professional academic staff, the department of History is one of the principal humanities departments of the college. The B.A. History programme has a balanced course content adequately covering the evolution of human civilization from time immemorial to recent times. The faculty consists of specialists in diverse fields who have extensively contributed in areas of their interest. Innovation in course contents as well as in directions of research testify to the achievements of the college.

Objectives

To enable the students to have a deep understanding of the evolution of human civilizations down the ages i.e from time immemorial to recent times.
To acquaint the students with the socio-economic and cultural heritage of India as well as the world.
To expose the students to research methodology and thus help develop analytical skills and research temperament.
To develop an interdisciplinary and holistic approach to the study of social science in general.
To enable the students to obtain thorough knowledge on organizational & Structural management and latest trends in the fields of Administration and managements.
To bring about a holistic understanding of administrative aspects with particular emphasis on Indian Administration.
