Aims and Objectives

Loyola Academy is one of the 180 colleges inspired by the life and teachings of Jesus Christ and run under the authority of the Catholic Church by the Society of Jesus. Its purpose is to serve the country without distinction of caste, language or creed, setting before its students, high ideals of service humanism, social justice and national development at all levels and striving towards a personal, integral training of the youth in consonance with the Jesuit pattern of education enunciated in the recently published characteristics of Jesuit Education.

Imparting of knowledge and correct values of life and character formation are its aims. It shall foster an atmosphere of intellectual pursuit and moral rectitude and an enlightened consciousness of the complete conditions of today's society in which young men and women, on the threshold of life, can find personal fulfillment.

The college seeks to achieve these aims not only in the case of Catholics and Christians, but also others, regardless of caste and creed, respecting their religious susceptibilities.

This institution of higher learning also endeavors to make its own contribution, in the light of its Christian faith, to society in which the principles of justice, freedom, equality, and respect for religious and moral values will be cherished.

In accordance with the educational policy formulated by Andhra Jesuit province, the policies and programmes pursued by the college will reflect a preferential option for the poor and an unflinching commitment to maintaining academic excellence and to transforming all the students passing through our institutions into "men and women for others".

In Carrying out its Aims, The College, As a Catholic, Christian Minority Institution, Reserves for itself its inherit and constitutionally recognized right of management and administration.

The college aims at the education of Catholic communities around and extends to members of the other communities its service in developing human skills and character formation based on the love of God and the service of people as modeled on Jesus Christ with a view to training citizens remarkable for all round development and sincere commitment to God and Country.
